I love to capture a moment in time and a Polaroid picture feels like magic as it develops right before your eyes. There is nothing like the nostalgic feelings it brings up. The beauty of having something tangible in your hands and the unique film quality of each individual memory. The imperfections create an aura of authenticity.

I take an original unique one of a kind image and scan it at a high resolution so it can be enjoyed at a much larger size. Seeing it at this amazing scale is truly a wonder and not like anything else. I’m taking an inherently intimate object—something designed to fit in your hand—and monumentalizing it. That transformation is interesting artistically. At large scale, the flaws of the medium become part of the visual language rather than defects.
